Clean and friendly therapists stop by frequently
My name is “Shu Min Lin Wang”, i live in Room: 32A. I need to tell Hospital Leaders some time that Nurse Galang, E. is one of the best nurse in Central Garden when i live in 32A for a very short time, because my i have a broken back but she can do anything as soft and slow as she can. She makes us patient warm and feels at home instead of an hotel.
They didn’t even serve him lunch! My husband is severely handicapped due to several strokes and one day an aide took his milk from his meal tray. Today they didn’t even serve him his lunch, even though his roommate and everyone else was fed. It’s corrupt!
I’ve had a mostly positive experience having my mom at Central Garden. If you wanna see my very, really, extremely long comprehensive review because I was bored and have time to waste review I left on Yelp, by all means.
Great facility! From nursing, to rehab. From administration to staff everyone goes above and beyond to make sure patient care is the priority!

If you value your family members life, DO NOT take them to this facility. Call lights are a 40-60 min. wait unless your family member works here. Nurses and CNA’s often work double shifts. Patients can be heard getting snapped (yelled) at frequently, unless a family member is sitting by their side. Many nurses have an attitude when they have to change a soiled patient. Patients are rushed to use restroom, so they can be charged on a schedule. Often they have to remain in soiled diapers until there’s time to squeeze them into the rotation. Patients are told daily by many staff that they don’t want to hurt their backs turning the patients. Many staff members don’t know proper body mechanics when turning patients. They are short staffed, so if your loved one can’t walk to the restroom, it’s an ordeal. This is more like a run-down nursing home than a rehabilitation. Many falls occur, but proper protocol isn’t followed to assure patients are okay after. Diapers & Chucks are placed at the patients bedside with their room numbers written in sharpie on each item used. Some Nurses try to double diaper a patient to make it faster to change them the next time. Many individuals aren’t thoroughly cleaned after being changed. Bed baths are a thing of the past. Patients are often given the wrong medications. Many of the patients can’t move around well, if at all, yet their position in bed isn’t rotated every 2 hours. It’s difficult to get in touch with a doctor if a new condition occurs. IF labs are done, patients are never informed of the results, just given new medications, if at all. There is no follow through for care or concerns. God forbid a patient files a complaint. The complaint is shared with other staff in the hallway and attitudes change and flare (including treatment…bad attitudes, stares of disgust, & rude comments are hurled towards the person who complained. A sick patient with green phlegm wasn’t given antibiotics and often sown to have difficulty expelling. Found chocking on phlegm, one staff member told them you’re not my patient today, and they kept walking down the hallway. My heart aches for the patients that can’t speak, don’t have visitors, & we had to leave behind. This review doesn’t reflect all staff, but many. One star is the lowest score I can give in order to write a review.

I don’t know where to start.. I can’t say enough good things about Nora and the care she provided for my grandpa at Central Gardens. From the start, she was incredibly attentive, compassionate, and dedicated to making sure my grandpa received the best support possible. Nora’s communication was outstanding – she kept my family and I informed every step of the way, answered all of our questions with patience, and made sure we understood every aspect of his care. She truly went above and beyond to ensure my grandpa’s needs were met. Her kindness and professionalism made all the difference during this challenging time. I am so grateful for her support and highly recommend Nora and Central Gardens Post Acute to anyone in need of an exceptional care advocate. Thank you for everything!

If you value your loved one’s health, do not leave them in this facility any longer than you have to as they do very little to rehabilitate and compassion is something they know little about. It’s a “People Factory”, where patients are looked at like monetary assets. Very little rehabilitation or actual interest in the patient’s recovery. They are totally fine with leaving people in soiled diapers, bedridden with no stimulus or attention day after day after day. Your loved one will find it very difficult to thrive in this environment, will eventually give in and give up. All the while, the Medicaid money flows.

This facility is very much ancient need desperate upgrades. Each room has two patients sharing a toilet room with next door two patients. The shared toilet room has a door open to each side of patients room. The door lock is broken and can’t be closed properly. Electrical sockets show age hardly holding up plugs tight. Bedside pedestal are in 50’ and needs repair. Nobody found me a visitor chair for two days until the admission director came offering me an arm chair at last. Nevertheless the armchair got removed from room the next day by cleaning lady who replaced me with a metal fold up non padded chair giving me a sore back for my daily 8 hours visit for three weeks. Every day hallway is washed clean but not patient room. Patients room get frequent daily trash takes out with some sweepings in a week. CNA hardly come by to clean up patient’s diaper mess when asked. When they come, they do a sloppy job with clean up. 🥲. The nurse, doctor, PT, OT, ST and office admin staff are doing their work diligently. The rest are there just for another dollar for another day.

The management is very messy and the service is very poor. When the patient needs to press the alarm and wait for more than an hour, there is no response. If the crisis situation, the consequences are unimaginable.

I came to CG after a three week stay in the hospital to regain strength and mobility. The Physical Therapists were fantastic, understood my needs, and I was able to accomplish goals. I would highly recommend CG for its PTs.

I want to make sure that this place gets their 5 star review. Joanna who made sure my special diet was accommodate. From my allergies to my preferences they did an amazing job getting it right. I have been to several nursing homes due to my disabilities but this one takes the cake. Bravo.

Never did I think I would have to come back here after my grandma brief stay but knowing that Nora was here made bringing my great aunt in that much easier. I was sad that she was no longer assisting with activities but she was a god send with her discharge. Nora made sure we were not only very aware of everything but she made sure my great aunt had all of the resources she needed. Nora continues to be a light and a very trying situation. My family and I are very grateful for her as well as the lady that took her spot in activities (I don’t remember her name). Thank you Nora.

The social worker, Nora Im, couldn’t be any better. I have been visiting this facility for over 3 years now and she has been super helpful and informative since the beginning. The facility is clean and friendly and the staff are very attentive. They have a whole physical therapy team that specialize in a post acute program. My friend went in and couldn’t walk and now he’s walking on his own. Thank you Nora Im for being so kind and helpful.

Management sucks and doesn’t care about the people in their charge. Some really good people work here but they can’t make decisions on their own.Went in for wound care and there was no consistency in the care. After 50+ days I left with my wounds worse then when I checked in. Dirty roaches everywhere even in my if you love your family and friends don’t put them in here
My mom was at the nursing facility for 6-7 weeks after surgery. After slight hiccups initially, my concerns were addressed to my satisfaction. The directors were responsive and understanding. Gradually my mom became accosted to the nursing facility. Thank you Central Gardens!

The staff are very nice and the dietary always folow the needs if the patient Joanna is very accommodating what i request and the activity Nina she’s a delight to see with positive attitude, the service X e ewlaye to the patient all the time-
They treat their own people great. When my Daughter Nina was their , we weren’t allowed to see her during the holidays. On her last Birthday on this earth I was denied permission to see her. Two nurses there made fun of her all the time . Time of her death unknown because no one checked on her. I should file a charges against them. Also took money, and her floor van after her death. By the way, Nina was Irish, Native American, their only great to their own kind.
Personally I’d like to thank all the staff but most importantly- Nora!! She has been nothing but pleasant to work with, from the beginning she is always available to answer my questions and goes above and beyond to make sure my father is taken care of, as she does for the rest of the residents there. I know she’s always busy, but when I need to speak with her, she always makes the time somehow. Nora, I can’t thank you enough for all that you do!! I know my dad can’t say much to you, but I know he loves having you around!
Very accomodating and passionate staffs , highly recommended
